By purchasing a module, registering for a class, or participating in our educational workshops, you explicitly acknowledge, understand, and agree to the following legal and operational realities of our business model:
1. NON-ACCREDITATION AND EDUCATIONAL STATUS
Building Engineer Academy is strictly a private, independent, non-accredited technical training platform.
- No Academic Credit: We are not an accredited university, college, community college, or vocational school. Enrollment in our workshops does not earn college credits, nor can our module certificates be transferred to accredited educational institutions.
- No Professional Trade Licensure: Our courses are designed to teach foundational, practical maintenance skills. Completion of our programs does not satisfy the legal requirements for formal trade licensure, state engineering certifications, or official union or municipal qualifications. It is your sole responsibility to check with local, state, or federal licensing boards to understand the legal requirements needed to practice as a licensed engineer or technician in your jurisdiction.
- Internal Certification Tiers: The Academy offers a 15-course curriculum. Individual Module Certificates, the Professional Building Engineer Certificate (awarded after the 10 general main modules), and the Master Building Engineer Certificate (awarded after the 5 advanced modules) are internal tokens of completion. They verify that you have completed our proprietary training checklists and do not represent a government credential or industry-wide trade licensure.
2. NO EMPLOYMENT OR JOB PLACEMENT GUARANTEES
Building Engineer Academy is a skill-enhancement platform, not an employment agency.
- Zero Career Guarantees: We provide absolutely no guarantees, promises, or representations regarding job placement, career advancement, salary increases, or employment opportunities resulting from your participation in our workshops.
- No Placement Services: The Academy does not offer job matching, career counseling, resume placement services, or corporate hiring partnerships. Any student testimonials, examples, or discussions regarding career paths are illustrative only and do not constitute a promise of performance or a guarantee of a similar outcome. Your employment success depends entirely on your personal background, prior experience, and external job market conditions.
3. INDEPENDENT CERTIFICATES OF COMPLETION
Any certificate issued by Building Engineer Academy—including individual workshop certificates or a culminating Master Certificate—is solely an internal recognition of course participation and completion. These certificates verify that you have completed our internal 10-module curriculum and checklist. They do not represent an industry-wide certification, a government credential, or a standardized professional designation.
4. ASSUMPTION OF PHYSICAL AND OPERATIONAL RISK
The technical disciplines taught at Building Engineer Academy (including HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and building automation) involve inherently dangerous equipment, high voltages, pressurized systems, and physical hazards.
- Safety First: While the Academy teaches basic safety principles, you acknowledge that working with building systems carries a risk of property damage and serious personal injury.
- Liability Release: You assume full physical and financial responsibility for how you choose to apply the technical skills, maintenance checklists, and knowledge taught in our workshops. The Academy, its owners, and its instructors explicitly disclaim any liability for accidents, injuries, code violations, or mechanical failures that occur when you perform maintenance work in real-world commercial or residential environments.
5. RIGHT TO UPDATE COMPLIANCE
The Academy reserves the right to modify this disclaimer, adjust workshop pricing, amend course curriculums, or update training checklists at any time to remain compliant with changing corporate guidelines, legal standards, or operational needs.
